Winnitt
Winnitt is a private, offline mood journal for daily mood check-ins, trend charts, and a small self-care toolkit. This page explains what the app does and does not do with your data.
Winnitt does not collect, transmit, or share any personal information. Everything you enter stays on your device.
Information we collect
None. The app has no account system, no sign-in, and no analytics. Nothing you write is ever seen by us or by anyone else — there is no server to send it to.
Data stored on your device
To make the app work, Winnitt stores the following only on your device, in a local SQLite database inside the app's own private storage:
- Mood check-ins — the mood level and energy level you pick, the emotions and factors you tag, your optional written note, and the date and time of each entry.
- Your display name, if you choose to set one on the profile screen.
- App settings — which day your week starts on, whether reflection prompts are shown, and the reduce-motion toggle.
- A flag recording that you finished the intro screens, so they are not shown again.
Streaks, milestones and every chart on the Insights screen are calculated from those entries as you look at them; they are not stored or sent anywhere. This data never leaves your device. It is not uploaded to Winnitt or to any third party. Deleting an entry removes it from the database, and uninstalling the app or clearing its storage deletes all of it permanently.
Permissions
Winnitt requests no runtime permissions. It does not use the camera, microphone, location, contacts, or photo library. The Android build does not declare the INTERNET permission, and the iOS build declares no usage-description permissions.
Network use
Winnitt is fully offline. It makes no network requests and contacts no servers, and it works with no internet connection at all. Even the app's typeface is the one already on your device, chosen specifically so that no font is fetched at runtime.
Third-party services
No third-party analytics, advertising, crash-reporting, or tracking SDK is integrated. When you tap "Share Winnitt", the app hands a short piece of text to your device's own system share sheet — you choose whether and where to send it, and the app itself transmits nothing and never learns what you did with it.
Children's privacy
Because the app collects no personal information and transmits nothing off the device, it poses no data-collection risk to children. It is suitable for general audiences and complies with COPPA and GDPR-K by collecting nothing at all.
Your rights
You are always in full control of your data because it never leaves your device. You can delete any individual check-in from within the app, and uninstalling the app permanently erases all stored entries and preferences. Because nothing is transmitted, there is no server-side copy to access, export, correct, or erase.
Changes to this policy
If this policy ever changes, the date at the top of this page will be revised. Material changes will be noted in the app's release notes.
